Mary and Amy were likely twins. Amy died at age 6 years.
Looking into the possibility that Nicholas was married to Sarah's
older sister Mary Ann (or Maria) CALDWELL first. They are closer in
age than Nicholas and Sarah.
Mary Maria married James Connell from New Brunswick on Feb 8, 1866
Another possibility: Mary and Amy could have been Sarah's children
from a previous marriage. She named her first child Sarah. (after her
mother?)
